Jmo won the 2024 opener with 15 confidence points. Two years later, Polska opens 2026 with 14. The comparison is a reminder of just how quickly Week 1 can set a tone.

The top 14 of 30 teams qualify for the playoffs, and the top two earn first-round byes. That means 16 teams will be left out when the regular season ends.

Survivor I started with 153 players. After one week, 102 remain alive and 51 are already gone. That is roughly 67% of the field surviving Week 1.

The contest is played against the spread, and players may use the same team as many times as they want. For everyone already out, Survivor II begins in Week 6.

This was one of the best HIGH5 openings in contest history. Four players went a perfect 5-for-5 for 10 points, while another 22 players won four of five and scored 7.

Week 1 says goodbye to BringBackYak, Busted by Noon, Futbol is Life, Landy, PNW Hiker, The Sackos and T-Rock.

Each week the seven lowest-scoring players are eliminated until only one remains. If there is a tie for the seventh elimination spot and the tied players have the same number of wins and the same tiebreaker, neither is eliminated and only six players go home that week.

Nobody completed a Perfekt Week in the opener, so the jackpot remains 3,500 points. The challenge has survived more than 20 years without a winner. Every player, including rookies, is eligible.

BigTDs is the Week 2 target. As the player sitting at #100 in the season standings, he gets the first chance to go from 100th to 1st in a single week.

The pot begins at 10 points and grows by 10 each week until somebody does it. Buckeye remains the only player to win the contest, doing it in the final week of Season 1.
