let me know if the weekly insider is good. Please do any extra great job on the entire uinsider, with emojis
Yes β the Week 1 Uinsider is good. Very good, actually. The raw material is all there: a great headline, a real finish to the week, a first-time winner, newcomers, side-game drama, eliminations, and actual Week 1 numbers. The headline βWE HEARD IT THROUGH THE GRAPEVINE!!!β is absolutely the keeper. ππ
I found only two substantive things I would correct. Your draft says β2 name changes,β but you actually list three: GR8FLDEAD, 47Land and Danko667. Also, instead of saying the seven players with 12 points all βfinished in second place,β I would say they finished one confidence point behind Grapevine, because the tiebreakers actually place them from 2nd through 8th.
I would leave your standings, MOV table, HIGH5 table and statistics exactly where they are. What I would change is the writing around them. Here is how I would run the entire Week 1 Uinsider:
π WE HEARD IT THROUGH THE GRAPEVINE!!!
π Opening Week: Chaos, Underdogs & a Last-Game Thriller
There is nothing quite like the first Saturday of PFLU football.
Everyone starts even. Everyone has a shot. Everybody believes this could be their year.
Then the games start. π±
After the first three noon games, only 3 of 69 players were still perfect at 3-0. The chaos only grew from there, as 6 of the next 13 games were won by the underdog.
With high point spreads and the dogs biting in nearly half the games, Week 1 scoring took a beating. The PFLU finished the week 538-566 overall β a 48.73% winning rate β with the average player posting 7.80 wins.
Welcome back to the U. π₯
π THE WEEK 1 CROWN
As usual, the Week 1 crown came down to the final game of the week.
Grapevine had already picked up a huge Washington State win, then watched Louisville erase a two-touchdown deficit with less than 6:40 remaining and tie the game.
When the dust finally settled, GRAPEVINE had won 5 of his final 6 games and finished with 13 confidence points.
In only his second PFLU season, Grapevine captured his first-ever Weekly Win β and the $220 Week 1 prize. π°ππ
Seven players finished just one confidence point behind at 12: Botchagoloups, Danko667, HDbuckeyes, Big Red, Fear the Turtle, LuLu Lemon and Big Pink.
One week in, and the 2026 race is already crowded. π₯
[KEEP YOUR WEEK 1 STANDINGS TABLE HERE]
π WELCOME TO THE U!
Before we go any further, welcome the biggest incoming class in PFLU history: a record 10 new players, plus Grapevine returning from injured reserve.
The Outlaw, Frank and Doublehat come over from the PFLPro.
Our seven true freshmen are CarCar3289 (Kokester), Buckeye Bombers (Burfict), ScootHart (Drujitsu), Inglewood and Dr. Doom (both Wichita River Rats), Big Pete (Money), and Brainless-hue (ItsMuellerTime).
We also have three name changes this season:
GR8FLDEAD β formerly Osceolaβs Spear
47Land β formerly 47Squad
Danko667 β formerly DankyPoo
Great additions to our βU.β πππ₯
π MOV β TEXAS MAKES AN EARLY STATEMENT
The MOV Contest could not have started much bigger.
Most players came out of the gate with at least +28, but 18 players absolutely crushed it with Texas +52. That is the early benchmark, and all 18 start the season tied at the top.
If Week 1 is any indication, the MOV has all the makings of another contest that could go right down to the final week. π₯π
[KEEP YOUR MOV TABLE HERE]
π΄ SURVIVOR I β THE ISLAND CLAIMS 31
Survivor I is officially underway.
We started with 69 players, and after just one week we are already down to 38 survivors.
That means 31 players were wiped off the board in Week 1. π³π΄
Believe it or not, this is still one of the better opening-week starts in Survivor history.
And for everyone who already got bounced, there is some good news:
Survivor II is waiting. Week 6 starts Survivor II. π
βπ₯ HIGH5 β PERFECTION FOR BOTCHAGOLOUPS
The first perfect HIGH5 card of 2026 belongs to BOTCHAGOLOUPS.
Botchagoloups went a flawless 5-for-5, earning the maximum 10 points.
Another 12 players finished with 7 points, but after Week 1 there is only one player sitting at the top of HIGH5:
BOTCHAGOLOUPS. π―π₯
[KEEP YOUR HIGH5 TABLE HERE]
πͺ LOW POSITION OUT β FOUR ARE GONE
Week 1 means four players have already been shown the door.
We say goodbye to:
CoinFlipU, Dabigu, Dedo and Buckeye Bombers. π
That leaves 65 players still alive.
Each week, the four lowest-scoring players will be eliminated until only one player remains. If there is a tie for the fourth elimination spot and both players have the same number of wins and the same tiebreaker number, neither player will be eliminated and only three players will go home that week.
Survive and advance. π¬πͺ
π― PERFEKT WEEK β THE JACKPOT GROWS
Nobody was able to navigate all 16 games with a perfect card in Week 1.
That means the Perfekt Week jackpot lives to see another Saturday.
π° The jackpot is now 800 points for the first player who can run the table and go perfect for an entire week.
The vault is officially growing. π₯π°π―
π°π THE 2026 PFLU PRIZE BOARD
The money is out there. Now somebody has to go get it.
π₯ 1st: 1,300 points; π₯ 2nd: 1,000; π₯ 3rd: 700; 4th: 500; 5th: 250; 6th: 100; 7th: Handshakes by The Commish π€π; π 17 Weekly Winners: 220 points each; π― Perfekt Week: 800; π΄ Survivors (3): 175 each; π MOV: 175; β HIGH5: 175; π Locks: 175; β‘ Upsets: 175; π₯ Total Locks & Upsets: 175; π Regular Season Champion: 165; π Bowl Games Winner: 165; πͺ Low Man Out: 175.
π₯ WEEK 1 BOTTOM LINE
Underdogs everywhere. A first-time Weekly Winner. Thirty-one players knocked out of Survivor. Eighteen players tied atop the MOV. A perfect HIGH5 card.
And we are only ONE WEEK into the season.
If this was the opening act, the 2026 PFLU is going to be a wild ride. ππ₯π
Primo, this is the direction I would absolutely use for the Uinsider all season. Your original gives me the facts and the Commissioner perspective; I turn it into more of a Saturday-night sports column without losing your voice.
And I especially love the idea of having a unique headline each week. βWE HEARD IT THROUGH THE GRAPEVINE!!!β is exactly what a Week 1 Uinsider headline should be. ππ
Once you're happy with this wording, the next move can be sending me the current uinsider.htm, and I can put this entire Week 1 report into the actual PFLU Insider page with the full PFL look.
are you going to put this on the homepage and the full story on uinsider.htm?
Yes β thatβs exactly the plan. ππ°π₯
Your current PFLU homepage already has the big Aftermath Report / Saturday Spotlight story panel, so I would replace the old Week 17 championship story there with a Week 1 Uinsider feature.
On the PFLU homepage
I would use a short, high-impact version:
π WE HEARD IT THROUGH THE GRAPEVINE!!!
Opening Week: Chaos, Underdogs & a Last-Game Thriller
Then roughly 2β4 strong paragraphs covering:
the Week 1 chaos
Grapevine winning the final-game battle
his first Weekly Win
the $220 prize
the seven players right behind him
Then a prominent button:
π° READ THE FULL WEEK 1 UINSIDER β
That button would go to uinsider.htm.
I do not want the entire nine-page story crammed onto the homepage. The homepage should make players think, βI want to read the rest of this.β
On uinsider.htm
That gets the full production:
π WE HEARD IT THROUGH THE GRAPEVINE!!!
Then everything we just polished:
Week 1 opening story
Grapevine feature π
full Week 1 standings
incoming freshman/new-player section π
MOV π
Survivor I π΄
HIGH5 β
Low Position Out πͺ
Perfekt Week π―
prize board π°
Week 1 statistics
the Week 1 Bottom Line closing
And I want the tables you already created incorporated into the story instead of throwing them away β they contain a lot of the personality and information of the Uinsider. Your Week 1 standings, for example, establish Grapevine at 13 with the seven-player chase group at 12.
What I need from you
I already have the PFLU homepage HTML, so you do not need to send that again.
Just send me the current full uinsider.htm HTML.
Then I can do both together:
1. Updated full PFLU homepage HTML
2. Updated full uinsider.htm HTML
Both ready for you to copy/paste and upload.
That gives us a really nice weekly system: homepage sells the story β Uinsider tells the story. πππ₯
b091ae47-a199-4cc5-8ede-55fa3b27d305.htm
File
Yes β I went ahead and did both pieces. ππ°π₯
1. PFLU Homepage
I kept your existing homepage intact and replaced the old βMiracle in Miamiβ Week 17 feature with a Week 1 teaser:
π WE HEARD IT THROUGH THE GRAPEVINE!!! π
It includes the Grapevine finish, $220 Weekly Win, the seven players one point back, Survivor damage, MOV, and four quick-stat boxes. The button now reads:
π° READ THE FULL WEEK 1 UINSIDER β
and goes directly to uinsider.htm.
Download the updated pfluhome.htm
2. Full uinsider.htm
I rebuilt the old Uinsider into a full modern Week 1 report rather than trying to keep the old LibreOffice-style page. The old file was still carrying the 2025 championship story.
The new page includes the complete Week 1 story plus:
π Grapevine feature
π all 69 player standings
π new players/name changes
π all 18 MOV +52 leaders
π΄ Survivor I
β HIGH5 with the perfect Botchagoloups card
πͺ Low Position Out
π― Perfekt Week
π° full 2026 prize board
π Week 1 pool statistics
π₯ Week 1 Bottom Line
Those Week 1 numbers and contest results come directly from the report you gave me.
Download the new uinsider.htm
What you do
Upload both files to public_html and replace the existing versions:
pfluhome.htm
uinsider.htm
You don't need to rename anything.
And I think we've now got the weekly system exactly where it should be: the homepage sells the story; Uinsider gives them the whole Saturday experience. πππ₯
